Nice won in Orange (0-3) during the 18th day of the Pro B championship. The volleyball players of Mladen Kasic confirm their return to form and secure their second consecutive victory.
The Nice Volley Ball seems finally healed. After a clear and flawless victory last week against Nancy, the teammates of captain Rajko Jokanovic replicated this performance against Orange. And to say the least, the Eagles have again not faltered against the club from Vaucluse.
As proof, this new 3-0 sets success which officially marks the return to the top for NVB in Pro B. After a disastrous January, marked by five consecutive defeats, the Azuréens have got back on track.
Harnes still at the top, Asnières surprised by St Brieuc
In the other matches of this 18th day, no surprises except the tiebreak victory of the bottom team, St Brieuc, against Asnières, who are seventh and fighting for playoff access. Nancy could have achieved the same feat against Harnes, the undisputed leader of the championship… But the Nordiques have proven once again that they have resources. After losing the first two sets, the newly promoted club in Pro B turned the situation around and won 3 sets to 1.
In the next round, Nice (5th) will host Martigues (9th). The Martégaux easily defeated St Quentin this weekend, winning 3 sets to none.
