Nice resumes its good habits in its Palmeira lair: Harnes is decisively defeated 3-1 (28-26, 20-25, 25-12, 25-16).
A tightly contested first set (28-26) was quickly countered in the second, which easily fell into the hands of the visitors (20-25). Then the Nice team got into gear to string together two sets of about twenty minutes each to overcome the rather pale Northerners.
The entries of Aleksandar Mitrovic (15 points) and Thiebault Bruckert energized the young Azureans’ game while Soane Falafala once again demonstrated his skills (16 points).
Two other players from Nice reached double digits: Nechev (10 points) and Bersani (12 points).
With this victory, Nice comfortably places itself in the top 8 that will compete in the playoffs. The next match is away next weekend, and it will be a perilous mission in Orange, ranked 3rd, who will play tonight against Ales (joint 3rd) to move closer to the top of the standings.
