Volleyball: Nice plays its all-out effort for play-off qualification

Latest News

The BM League will deliver its verdict this Friday. The 26th and final day of the BM League takes place. The battle will be fierce to secure a spot in the play-offs, but also to win the title of French champion. Avignon, the current leader, remains the favorite.

So, what can be said? It’s certain that Nice will not play for the title! Nice competing in the Play-offs… is not guaranteed.

Mladen Kasic’s players must forget the first leg and that severe defeat against Saint-Quentin (0/3). Facing SQV, already relegated, the Nice players cannot afford to lose again.

Indeed, if Nice loses next Saturday against St Quentin and, at the same time, Harnes wins against Avignon, the Eagles would find themselves in sixth place and thus excluded from this “four-team tournament” which will award the winner the last ticket for League A next season. Conversely, a defeat for Harnes, regardless of the Nice result, would keep the latter in fifth place and thus in the Play-offs.

Uncertainty? Not so much, we must still admit that NVB is in a favorable position. By traveling to the last-place St Quentin (who will be saying goodbye to League B on this occasion), the Nice players are more at ease than Harnes, who will face Avignon in their venue, with an atmosphere that can be imagined given the stakes… Nevertheless! However! Yet! Be careful! Watch out!!!

If there is something to take away from this season and this championship, it’s that nothing is guaranteed, nothing is certain, that one must be wary of everything and everyone, and that places are costly, in the complexity that they are “costly” and unstable.
