Nice will play its last match of the season this evening at their favorite venue of Palmeira (at 8 PM in the Giammarchi hall) against Toulouse.
After last Friday’s clear defeat in the capital of Occitania, will the Azurรฉens be able to turn things around and secure the right to return for a tiebreaker match?
In a championship that is full of surprises (except for Chaumont, who finished first in the regular season standings, the other semi-finalists defeated higher-ranked teams), anything is possible.
Supported by a crowd that will surely fill the stands, Mladen Kasic’s players will fight to the very end. Moreover, before this semi-final, they had each won one match in their direct encounters. And each had won at home.
So, why not replicate this series in the playoffs?
The two teams know each other well; their respective top scorers, Van Dries for Toulouse and Engelskans for Nice, are the best of the season.
Nice will want to end a season on a high note that, regardless of the result, will remain one of, if not the best in its history.
A victory and a remarkable performance in the tiebreaker match in Toulouse would make it a historic moment for the club.
Come on, one more effort!
