A mobilization announced against Uber
This mobilization of the Azurean VTC drivers was announced. The date coincides with the visit to Nice of Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport. The visit is part of the resumption of the Train des Merveilles between Nice and Tende. The VTC drivers wish to express their dissatisfaction with the Uber platform.
The drivers wish to denounce the deterioration of working conditions imposed by Uber. They accuse the platform of promoting competition by constantly increasing the number of drivers. Authorities are urging caution. Users are encouraged to delay travel when possible. The situation remains fluid until early afternoon.
The mobilization continues while traffic remains difficult throughout the entire western part of Nice. The routes leading to the airport are the most affected by slowdowns. Drivers are facing extended travel times. Traffic conditions are expected to remain disrupted as long as the processions converge towards their meeting point.
