A debate on the topic of food waste is being organized by five first-year LEA students at the Faculty of Letters in Nice (Anissa, Wala, Krystie, Ines, and Amell).

One in nine people, or 795 million people, suffer from hunger worldwide (source: wfp.org).

In France, 10 million tons of food intended for human consumption are lost or wasted; this amounts to 21% of what we purchase being thrown away (source: novethic.fr).

Institutions, young students, and residents of the Nice community are invited to participate in the debate against food waste.

In collaboration with the association La ManuFabrik and with the participation of Solidaire Sans Frontiรจre, the Ariane Cleanliness Residents Group, and Au Cล“ur de lโ€™Espoir, we will have the opportunity to exchange ideas and think about concrete solutions to combat food waste.
