Yesterday, Christian Estrosi welcomed the “New Niçois” alongside Jean-Pascal Thirion. On this occasion, a friendly welcoming ceremony was held in the garden of the Villa Masséna.
To facilitate the settlement of its new residents and to give them a special welcome, the city of Nice has created a delegation specifically dedicated to welcoming the New Niçois. This is a way to ease their adaptation and assist these newcomers in their processes.
Christian Estrosi, host of this reception, extended a warm welcome to the new citizens of the capital of the French Riviera: “Welcome to the new Niçois! Welcome to our city, ever more beautiful, ever more attractive, ever more festive, and soon to be a garden city with the greening plan!“
Promoting Integration
On this occasion, the new “adopted Niçois” were able to meet the teams mobilized to answer all questions related to their settlement and explore, through about ten stands, what the city of Nice can offer them in the fields of culture, environment, community life, sports, and even activities for seniors. The many families attending also had the opportunity to directly create their PASS Museums & PASS Libraries cards, allowing them free access to municipal cultural venues.
To liven up this exceptional reception, a folk group “Nice la Belle” put on a show with traditional songs and dances. This was all complemented by Niçois culinary specialties for everyone’s enjoyment.
