Latest News

The Tour de France Stage Village opens its doors until July 6, 2024. Located at the Albert I garden, visitors can explore or rediscover the world of cycling.

The Tour de France village has settled on the green corridor in Nice. It is open from 10 AM to 9 PM on Friday and from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturday. In total, there are no less than 12,000 mยฒ to explore or rediscover the world of cycling while having fun, thanks to a multitude of stalls and activities. The village is divided into two zones: one for the professionals participating in the Stage and one for cycling enthusiasts.

An area for professionals

Participants of the Stage can pick up their race numbers at the stalls directly at the village entrance. Around a hundred volunteers are on-site to assist with the organization. The beginning of the village is primarily dedicated to cycling clothing. New technologies are highlighted, such as the “Reboots” pants available for testing. Using different air pressures, the pants massage the legs, supposedly minimizing the risk of injury and improving flexibility.

Food specifically for athletes post-effort is showcased. A shop displays several wooden bicycles, aiming to highlight craftsmanship in sports. It’s also possible to have your bike frame personalized. For future Stage champions, a stall offers to frame your medal.

A relaxation space around cycling

Information points can inform cycling enthusiasts about how to access the different areas of this Tour de France Stage. An animator reminds visitors of all the available activities in the village throughout the day. A fountain of fresh drinkable water and sunscreen are available for free, essential given the forecasted temperatures. The AMOS Sport Business School presents courses for working in the sports field. Useful for young people who aren’t yet sure what path to take for September’s back-to-school season. Electric bikes are available for free trials, perfect for testing your potential future purchase.

Attractions and an exhibition

Next, head to the fan zone to watch the Tour Stage on a screen in a covered area. There’s an exhibition featuring various items like runner jerseys or medals. Next to it, another giant screen broadcasting the Tour de France is accessible, with chairs and parasols. Thrill-seekers won’t be disappointed with the โ€œBike Loopingโ€ attraction. Attached to a bike, the user makes 360-degree turns. Some stalls have wheels with prizes, such as flags, magazines, or bags to win.

One of the major new features is the area dedicated to women, including a conference on female specifics, health, and sports. The next one will be on July 5. For souvenirs, city stalls in collaboration with the Tour de France offer permanent collection goodies from the event. Finally, the Armenian garden hosts an exhibition of local Nice artists. Through their works, the artists have proposed their interpretation of the Tour de France’s arrival in Nice. These 19 posters will be on display until July 21, 2024.
