Additionally, the Palais de Nice comes alive under the influence of Jay Gould and Gatsby. Characters from the novel The Great Gatsby meet those from French history. The magic begins at 7 PM with a grand concert. Note that the festivities will continue the next day with two more concerts scheduled at 6 PM and 9 PM.
Saturday, August 17
The following day, a bit of culture. Furthermore, the Festival des Mots offers you an outdoor literary evening. Once again this year, the festival honors the oral tradition. Guillaume de Tonquédec, a renowned guest, will transport the audience at Valberg. His words will resonate with the echo of great literary texts such as Marcel Pagnol’s novel: La Gloire de mon père.
Earlier in the day, another experience awaits you at the Observatory of the Côte d’Azur, on the heights of Nice. Tales, myths, and legends will guide you under the starry sky. Clara Piñero, a storyteller, will lead you to discover the wonders of Mont-Gros. This 1 hour and 30-minute thematic tour will take you on a journey through astronomy and the world’s stories. History, science, and imagination will also come together in this exceptional setting.
Sunday, August 18
Finally, on Sunday, you might start with a lyrical concert at 5 PM. Stéphane Eliot, a Nice-born organist, will introduce you to the electone. This unique instrument brings to life some of the most famous opera tunes. Alongside soprano Maria Krasnikova, they will perform the most beautiful treasures of lyrical art. Meet at Saint-François-de-Paule Church in Nice at 5 PM this Sunday to enjoy it.
To end the weekend beautifully, nothing beats a Cuban music concert at the Château de Crémat. At 8:30 PM, the group Latin Clan, composed of international musicians, invites you to dance under the stars. Furthermore, the enchanting setting of the castle adds a touch of magic to this evening.
