Guitars will take centre stage for three days with the return of the Rock Fest in Nice. From May 9 to 11, French and international rock bands will perform on stage. The event is held in support of children suffering from illness. A must-see weekend for rock lovers.

🎭 Theatre – The Island of Slaves
The Théâtre l’Alphabet presents an adaptation of The Island of Slaves by Marivaux. This social satire explores a role reversal between masters and servants on an imaginary island where power relations are turned upside down. A lively and bold production, blending humour with social critique.

🎶 Concert – Riviera Electro Festival (REF)
The Riviera Electro Festival kicks off this Friday at Le 109 in Nice. For three days, the former slaughterhouse complex becomes a hub of electronic music with five stages, a cutting-edge line-up (tINI, Miss Kittin, Nicolas Masseyeff…), live performances, a drag show and food trucks. A festive and inclusive event running through Sunday night.

🎺 Niçois Evening – Nocturne des Mai
The Fête des Mai continues into the evening with a special nocturnal celebration on Place Lentulo, in the Pasteur district. The night opens with traditional music by Li Sonhaires, followed by folk dances from La Ciamada Nissarda. The evening concludes with a balèti led by Guinguette Chic.

🤸 Sport – GR Very Nice 2025
The GR Very Nice 2025 competition takes place on May 10 and 11 at the UFR STAPS gymnasium. This rhythmic gymnastics event brings together over 250 gymnasts from 16 different countries, some of whom are competing for qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games.

🖼️ Exhibition – Slavic Day

🎭 Theatre – The Amazons

🌈 Festival – Nice Rainbow Festival
The Nice Rainbow Festival takes over Jardin Albert 1er, organised by the LGBTQIA+ Centre Côte d’Azur. The festival promotes inclusivity, respect and diversity, with activities for all ages, panel discussions, performances, DJ sets and food stalls. Free and open to everyone.

🌺 Niçois Tradition – Fête des Mai
The Gardens of the Arènes de Cimiez come alive once again for the Fête des Mai. Folk dances, concerts, children’s workshops and traditional games fill the day in a friendly atmosphere, perfect for families and friends.

🖼️ Exhibition – Relics of the Sea Foam
As part of the Ocean Arts Biennale, the Jules Chéret Museum of Fine Arts hosts Relics of the Sea Foam by artist Racca Vammerisse. The exhibition features ceramic sculptures inspired by the depths of the ocean, blending pearls, shells and coral-like forms into a dreamlike universe.
