This Sunday, January 9, about 500 people gathered in Nice in memory of this 45-year-old woman, a new victim of femicide.
Last Saturday evening, the body of a woman was found in the trunk of a car.
The procession, led by the victim’s children, started from her home on Boulevard Madeleine around 1 pm before heading to the Promenade des Anglais, where a minute of silence and the release of white balloons took place.
In tribute to Lisa, some attendees wore white t-shirts with the victim’s portrait, while others carried signs with messages such as “she leaves him, he kills her” and “loving ≠killing.”
Eric Ciotti, present at the march, expressed his deep emotion on his Twitter.
“Deep emotion during the white march in tribute to Lisa, killed in Nice by her ex-companion on January 1st.
In thoughts with her four children and loved ones.”
