Will Nice-Ville station be “The Most Beautiful Station in France”?

Latest News

The Nice-Ville Station is in the running for the title of “Most Beautiful Station in France,” organized by SNCF Gares et Connexions.

This Wednesday, September 7, the Nice station is competing against the Toulon and Avignon stations to represent the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region at the national level. The people of Nice will therefore have 24 hours to vote and qualify their station for the grand national finale.

The Nice-Ville Station

Inaugurated in 1867, it was designed by architect Louis-Jules Bouchot in a neo-Louis XIII style, marking Nice’s attachment to France. The coats of arms of European capitals that adorn its platforms testify to Nice’s emerging role as the winter vacation capital of the Riviera.

The Process

In the first round, 36 stations are in the competition, meaning 3 stations per region. Each day from September 1 to 16, one region will be highlighted and one of its three competing stations will be qualified for the national finale.

The finale will be held on October 5, as part of the European Heritage Days, and will pit the 12 stations selected by internet users, representing the 12 different regions, against each other.

Cast Your Votes!

To vote, do so on September 7 by visiting the social media accounts of SNCF Gares & Connexions:

On Facebook @Gares.Connexions, votes will be counted based on the number of likes on the posts.

As for Instagram @gares_connexions, the votes will be conducted through polls on the stories.
