Christian Estrosi wants the maritime company Corsica Ferries to commit to the rapid adaptation of its ships for on-dock connection, thus ending the daily noise and odor nuisances in the Port of Nice.

The Metropolitan services have worked on different scenarios, and the optimal solution would be a connection to an autonomous and mobile generator, operating on liquefied natural biogas or hydrogen, capable of providing the necessary dockside electrical power to the ships.

A feasibility study (technical and economic) has just been launched and will confirm that this choice is indeed the best.

A meeting for this purpose is planned between Christian Estrosi and the president of Corsica Ferries.

This initiative is part of a broader regional strategy and will concern all the ports within the area. In this context, the Region confirms its financial and technical support on this subject.
