Since 1998, the festival has brought together many artists with eclectic styles and backgrounds. Raoul Barboza (Argentina), La Familia Valera Miranda (Cuba), Cesaria Evora (Cape Verde), Faudel (France), Bernard Lavilliers (France), Johnny Clegg (South Africa), Massilia Sound System (France), Rokia Traoré (Mali), Tryo (France), Moriarty (United States / France), Amadou and Mariam (Mali), and Avishai Cohen (Israel) have graced the stage of Nuits du Sud.

The festival’s unique feature is that it brings together quality artists from around the world. Discover talents outside the commercial circuits and renowned artists sharing the program. Attend 12 dates spread over a month, including 2 SOUTH DAYS with free events and concerts. Also, enjoy attractive prices (between 10 and 18 euros) and the magic of a Provençal square in the heart of Vence with dining available within the festival grounds.
The 2010 edition promises to be as vibrant as previous years, with a diverse array of artists. No less than 12 nights announced featuring 24 artists with original and varied styles. Among others, Suzanne Vega and Youssou N’dour will kick off the festivities this year. Additionally, Natacha Atlas, Mickey 3D, Le Peuple de l’Herbe, Ben l’Oncle Soul, the French revelation of the year, as well as Axelle Red, Grupo Fantasma, and Raul Paz will herald the end of Nuits du Sud.
