The Honorary Deputy of Alpes-Maritimes, Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of Les Centristes of Alpes-Maritimes, invited the press yesterday morning to a New Year’s ceremony.
It was an opportunity to affirm his loyalty to Christian Estrosi and send some political messages, in the form of jabs…
“For 2019, I make a wish for the department of Alpes-Maritimes; that Charles-Ange Ginésy finally becomes the effective president of the department and works hand in hand with our communities”.
This is what Rudy Salles declared yesterday morning, adding: “I hope he frees himself from his daily tutelage”. Understand, that of Eric Ciotti, Departmental Counselor, President of the CNI at Les Républicains, and right-hand man of Laurent Wauquiez.
“I am happy to work with Christian Estrosi in the service of Nice. He has always been loyal to his ideas, he has never betrayed anyone. We have our differences, but we have always been able to come together for Nice around our common values” assured Rudy Salles.
“The nomination of François-Xavier Bellamy as the head of the LR list is not likely to reassure us, we Les Centristes, heirs of Simone Veil” continued the President of Les Centristes in Alpes-Maritimes. Jean-Christophe Lagarde (UDI) had also labeled the latter as “far-right of LR”.
“The risk with the European elections is that this vote becomes a pro or anti-Macron referendum that would completely obscure the European issues (…) I note that Macron’s inexperience, as he has never been an elected official on the ground, has allowed the Yellow Vests crisis to become bogged down. I wish for a return to dialogue and calm in 2019” he added.
“If the Grand Debate does not lead to concrete measures, our country will sink into an unprecedented political crisis. Then there will only be one solution left for Emmanuel Macron, the dissolution of the National Assembly” warned Rudy Salles.
