The Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee, through its women’s commission, is organizing a conference on the theme of feminization, entitled: “Woman, Powerful, Athlete”.
This conference will be dedicated to the role of women in sports. The floor will be given to “powerful” female athletes, whose journeys are exemplary in many respects.
The event will feature experiences in leadership roles within clubs, federations, and also in the Olympic movement. Some will talk about the transition from a sports career to involvement in collectives or solidarity missions.
Finally, all of them will discuss how they have managed to make room for sports in their often very busy personal, family, and professional lives.
Philippe MANASSERO, president of CDOS 06, along with the president of the women’s commission, Alexandra ARPAÏA, will present the conference and the speakers, accompanied by the evening’s moderator, Bernard MACCARIO, president of the Cercle Pierre de Coubertin PACA and author of books on sports.
Prominent figures from the French Riviera and international sports will participate in the discussions:
• Céline BOUSREZ – Bronze medalist in the Paratriathlon at the Tokyo 2021 Paralympic Games, guide for Annouck Curzillat
• Anny COURTADE: President of AS Cannes Football, business executive
• Sophie CHIPON – Vice-president of the European Hiking Federation, board member of CNOSF
• Emile FER – Gold medalist in canoeing at the 2012 London Olympics, vice-president of CDOS06
• Dominique PERONNET, President of the Departmental Karate Committee 06, member of the FF Karate Bureau, treasurer of CDOS 06
