Woofest 2025: Nice becomes the capital of dogs for a weekend

Latest News

On October 18 and 19, 2025, the Woofest will take place on the Promenade des Anglais and the Castle Hill. This festival dedicated to dogs and their owners offers two days of activities, sports, and awareness around animal well-being.

Nice will once again host the Woofest on October 18 and 19, 2025. This event dedicated to dogs and their human companions will be held on the Promenade des Anglais and the Castle Hill. For two days, the city will be alive with the sound of barks, events, and demonstrations.

Created in 2018 by My Pet Agency, Woofest has become a key event for “Pet-Parents”. The organization, the first European marketing agency dedicated to pets, envisioned a festival combining sports, relaxation, and awareness. Thanks to its founder Lucas Bรฉrullier, the event has already charmed Metz, Chaumont-en-Vexin, and Avelgem in Belgium, before settling on the French Riviera.

The 2025 Nice edition promises to be full of activities. According to the organizers, it will be โ€œa unique moment of sport and companionship.โ€ The event will be held in partnership with the City of Nice and will take place in several iconic locations in the city center.

A village on Castle Hill

The heart of the festival will be on Castle Hill, where a completely free village will welcome the public. The area will offer events, demonstrations, and workshops designed to strengthen the bond between owners and their pets.

The program promises to be varied:

  • Fun and sports activities including dog paddleboarding, scooter paddleboarding, agility, hay-bale, and the โ€œWoof Challengeโ€;
  • Well-being and relaxation, with sessions of doga (yoga with your dog), osteopathy, and canine massage;
  • Educational workshops on animal first aid and dog training;
  • Sensory and interactive games such as nosework and ball pools.

The exhibitor area will complement the experience. There, you will find accessories, treats, and new products for dogs. Visitors can meet professionals, trainers, and local associations involved in animal welfare.

โ€œThe exhibitor village completes the experience, with accessories, treats, and new products to spoil your faithful companion,โ€ the festival organization states.

A race and a solidarity walk

The Woofest is not limited to the village. It also moves into the streets of Nice with an urban obstacle race organized on the Promenade des Anglais. This activity, which requires paid registration, is intended to be accessible to all dog-owner pairs, regardless of their sporting level.

The event describes itself as โ€œa friendly jog in the streets of Nice with your dog, punctuated by fun challenges and obstacle crossingsโ€, set against the iconic backdrop of the Promenade des Anglais. For spectators, participation remains free.

Another highlight of this edition: the Grande Marche Solidaire, organized on Saturday morning. Open to all, it invites participants to walk for the animal cause. Each registration helps finance a concrete action in favor of animals. The organization specifies: โ€œa ticket bought, a concrete action funded.โ€

Tickets for the solidarity walk are priced at 12.85 euros, while the race is priced at 35 euros. Registrations are open online on the festival platform.

A convivial experience

The Woofest focuses on meeting and conviviality. The festival caters to families, athletes, associations, and curious individuals alike. The event claims to be inclusive and kind-hearted, where everyone can share a moment with their pet without a competitive spirit.

Along the 7 km of the Promenade des Anglais, visitors will encounter dogs of all breeds and sizes, participate in workshops, or simply enjoy the show. For the organizers, it’s a moment of sharing focused on respect and animal welfare.

The aim of the Woofest is also to raise awareness about animal welfare by offering practical advice and demonstrations of appropriate behaviors. The event highlights gentle and positive practices, such as kind education and prevention of domestic accidents.

After a successful first edition in Nice, the Woofest is becoming a fixed event on the Riviera landscape. The organizers aim to establish it as a recurring event, mixing sports, culture, and civic engagement.

The festival fits into a broader trend, driven by the rise of โ€œpet cultureโ€ in France. Pets are increasingly becoming a part of everyday life, and initiatives around them are multiplying. The Woofest leverages this movement to create a space for exchange and relaxation, where owners and dogs can share simple and meaningful moments.

The weekend of October 18 and 19, 2025, the city of Nice will transform into a canine paradise. Between Castle Hill, the Promenade des Anglais, and the planned events, dog lovers will have plenty to fill these two days.
