Latest News

The Alpes-Maritimes Department announces the temporary closure of a section of the coastal path for footbridge replacement works. This interruption is necessary to ensure the safety of users.

As part of the Departmental Plan for Walking and Hiking Routes (PDIPR), the Alpes-Maritimes Department will begin work on the Cap de Nice trail. Two footbridges will be replaced on this popular route for walkers.

The works will start on February 24, 2025, and are expected to last for three weeks. The goal is to secure the crossing and improve access for users of this iconic route.

A temporary closure to secure the trail

During the entire construction period, the trail will be closed between markers 51 and 52. This measure will be in effect from February 24 to March 14, 2025.

The Department explains that this decision aims to ensure the safety of walkers and technical teams on the site. Users are encouraged to respect this temporary ban and use alternative routes.

This project is part of a broader effort to preserve and enhance the natural heritage of the region. For further information, hikers can contact the Department’s services.
