Work will disrupt the operation of Nice’s tram line 1 in the evening

Maintenance work on the tracks of tram line 1 will be carried out at night in Nice between September 27 and October 22, 2026. Lignes d’Azur announces a modification of the last departures and the implementation of substitute buses between Henri Sappia and Hôpital Pasteur.

Tram line 1 in Nice will experience several evening interruptions over the coming weeks. Work intended to address rail wear will be carried out at night over several periods, starting this evening Sunday, September 27 through Thursday, October 22, 2026, subject to weather conditions and construction contingencies.

Lignes d’Azur clarifies that this operation should improve passenger and resident comfort. The work will concern the tracks located between the “Henri Sappia” and “Hôpital Pasteur” stations.

The last trams will depart at 10 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

The work is scheduled over several nights. A first operation is planned for the night of Sunday, September 27. Other operations will take place from Monday, September 28 to Thursday, October 1 inclusive, then from Sunday, October 4 to Thursday, October 8, from Sunday, October 11 to Thursday, October 15, and from Sunday, October 18 to Thursday, October 22 inclusive.

During these evenings, the schedules for the last departures of line 1 will be modified. The last tram will depart at 10 p.m. from Henri Sappia heading towards Hôpital Pasteur. In the other direction, the last departure from Hôpital Pasteur towards Henri Sappia will be set at 10:45 p.m.

After these times, substitute buses will operate between the Henri Sappia and Hôpital Pasteur stations. Passengers can also use several lines from the Lignes d’Azur network.

Line 8+ will notably allow access to Saint-Sylvestre and the Exhibition Center with last departures at 12:05 a.m. Line 12+ will offer a last departure towards the CAP3000 Shopping Center at midnight, then towards Hôpital Pasteur at 12:50 a.m. Line 57 will make its last departures towards Las Planas / Sappia and Riquier at 12:05 a.m.

Lignes d’Azur also indicates that an information system will be deployed in the stations and across the network. Information will also be available on the operator’s website and its social networks.

The teams in charge of the work will seek to minimize noise nuisance during the operations. Lignes d’Azur clarifies that the schedule remains subject to possible adverse weather and construction contingencies.
