The works, which will last 11 months, aim to improve the resistance of the right bank of the Var River against the phenomenon of erosion and the river’s torrential floods. They will optimize the safety of the residents. These works are conducted considering the existence of protected animal species on site, such as the ocellated lizard and two species of snakes, as well as the presence of the aquatic plant typha minima.
The cost of these works amounts to nearly โฌ5M excluding taxes, funded by the Department of Alpes-Maritimes, the State, the Greater Nice Cรดte d’Azur, and the Region. The project management and the supervision of these works are handled by SMIAGE.
