For the second consecutive year, the City of Nice is hosting a professional training workshop in scriptwriting, with the goal of providing training to professionals from Nice on the specifics of cinematic writing.
This semi-professional training, fully supported by the City of Nice, is entrusted to the Groupement de Recherches et d’Essais Cinématographiques (G.R.E.C), an association backed by the National Center for Cinema and Moving Image (CNC).
Hosted in residence at the Maison du Séminaire in Nice, the six candidates from Nice, selected based on their projects, will benefit from over 110 hours of training, divided into collective writing workshops, film analyses, and individual consultations with experienced professionals.
As part of this training, film debates open to the public are also organized by the Cinémathèque of Nice. Presented by a cinema professional, these screenings will be followed by a discussion-debate with the public and workshop participants.
Notably, the program includes three meetings with Bruno Nuytten, director and director of photography:
Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 8:30 PM around the film *Le Montreur d’Ombres* by Arthur Robison,
Friday, November 19, 2010 at 7:30 PM around the film *Camille Claudel* by Bruno Nuytten,
Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 8:00 PM around the film *India Song* by Marguerite Duras.
