The General Council of 06 and Sida Info Service, in partnership with G-ADDICTION Intercampus, are offering a rapid, free, and anonymous HIV testing operation at the IUT Nice* this Tuesday, April 15 starting at 10 a.m.
The AIDS epidemic is once again progressing in the region and the figures are alarming: the PACA region is the 2nd region in mainland France, after Île-de-France, affected by this disease’s contamination with 544 newly discovered cases of HIV positivity in 2012, or in other words, an 18% increase in affected individuals. Young people, aged 20 to 27, alone represent 24% of the patients, and homosexual relationships currently account for more than 60% of new HIV positive cases (Source: Sida Info Service).
In light of this terrifying spread of HIV, organizing a day for a Rapid Diagnostic Orientation Test (TROD) seemed useful!
Throughout this day, the following will be offered to students of IUT Nice and those from other campuses who will travel there:
Distribution of condoms/ Rapid HIV Test/ Prevention Caravan/ Information and awareness on sexuality issues
