On the occasion of International Migrants Day, “Solidarité Migrants-Collectif 06” is organizing a conference-debate on the theme: “Welcoming, concrete solutions for a civilization challenge.”
Three mayors, Ms. Régine Ailhaud-Blanc from Champtercier (04), Mr. Philippe Bouissou from Ivry (94), and Mr. Damien Carême from Grande-Synthe (59), will share their experiences about the projects they have successfully implemented in their municipalities. Architect Cyrille Hanappe, from the association “Actes et Cités,” will report on his concrete experience in this field.
Historian Yvan Gastaut will provide insights as an academic specializing in the history of migrations in the Mediterranean area and the notion of welcoming. He will open perspectives on the challenge it represents in a world in development.
Highly involved association actors from the department will share their practices, expectations, and projects.
The Mayors of Alpes-Maritimes, all invited to this debate, will be able to reflect on the reactions of their constituents concerning this issue and benefit from this reflection.
