Latest News

This weekend, the starting signal for the [MONDIAL PING TOUR 2013](https://www.mondial-ping.com/) will sound in Nice, which will be the stage for the launch of the French tour promoting table tennis, conceived by the French Federation with the goal of reaching millions of participants, whether they are regular players or occasional ones.

By deploying such an extensive initiative over more than six weeks in 25 cities across France, the French Table Tennis Federation aims to engage with the public โ€” all kinds of audiences, from enthusiasts to the merely curious, from occasional players to seasoned pongists, from children to seniors, men and women alike.

Answering the desire to share their discipline with the widest possible audience, local organizers (clubs, committee, league) will set up [around forty tables on the Promenade des Anglais](https://www.mondial-ping.com/), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th. The aim is to introduce the diverse worlds of this sport, accessible to everyone.

Experiencing, discovering, daring โ€” everything will be allowed under the watchful and expert eyes of Enzo Angles and Romain Lorentz, two talented yong players competing for qualification in the World Table Tennis Championships which will take place at Paris Bercy from May 13 to 20.

A vast program of activities is proposed to the public, occasional practitioners, and more seasoned players. Throughout Saturday, March 30th, the Mondial Ping Tour sets its stage on the Promenade des Anglais.

A true “arena,” entirely dedicated to the discipline, where local champion demonstrations, tournaments, introductory sessions, and various activities will take place.

No fewer than 35 facilitators will guide the public, inviting them to discover one of the following seven universes:

Ping for 4-7 year-olds: exercises and scenarios for one or more players to develop dexterity, psychomotricity, concentration, as well as cunning, while playing and having fun, using adaptable equipment, mini tables, foam balls, two-tone rackets, panda rackets…

The Techni-Ping: a counseling area to learn the right techniques, apply technical exercises, and improve.

Fit Ping Tonic to combine table tennis with fitness, keep in shape, tone up, or get back in shape. An animation with music intended for women and young girls.

The Free Ping: fun games on tables with original shapes and colors, (zigzag, round, or oval…)

Handi Ping: French champions will play exhibition matches and the public will have the opportunity to try ping in handicap sports conditions and rules.

Two universes to step into the shoes of a champion and compete for a final in Paris Bercy during the 2013 World Championship:

Competโ€™ Ping: a large open tournament for those who like to compete against an opponent.

The winner of the tournament at each stage will be offered a round-trip to Paris +1 night in a hotel (for 2 people) to compete in the Compet’ Ping finals at the very heart of POPB, during the 2013 Mondial. The final of this tournament will take place on Sunday, May 19.

Virtual Ping: a large virtual ping pong tournament on Kinect-Xbox console. The best two “scorers” of the national tour will also be invited (round-trip to Paris +1 night for 2 people) to compete in the final game live at Bercy on Sunday, May 19, in front of the audience at the 2013 World Championships. They will also be invited to attend the dayโ€™s finals.
