Created in Vienna in 1961 during the 9th World Congress of the International Theatre Institute, World Theatre Day is celebrated each year on March 27 in over a hundred countries worldwide.
This year, the City of Nice, continuing its policy of theater promotion and dissemination, is joining the event by offering two appointments at the Raoul Mille Library:
*From 2 PM to 4 PM โ Improvisation Workshop with Patrick Zeff-Samet, director of La Comรฉdie Nomade*
Patrick Zeff-Samet is a director, actor, and screenwriter, the artistic director of La Comรฉdie Nomade since 2014, and founder of CitadellโArte, the annual live performance program at the citadel of Villefranche-sur-Mer.
*From 2 PM to 5 PM โ The World is a Theater… of noises with Sรฉbastien Wagner and the EtrAnge company*
Actors from the EtrAnge Company, along with dancers and musicians, will take over the library: improvisations, declamations, surprises, everything will be done to entertain, surprise, and draw readers into a wild artistic round!
Since its official creation in 2014, Sรฉbastien Wagnerโs troupe has continued to surprise with its unconventional and original productions. Together, they create, adapt, and distort genres and codes (hence their name EtrAnge, meaning “strange”) to meet the sole demand of their director: intrinsically blend culture with pleasure.
