This Tuesday, June 20th at 9:30 PM at the CUM, there will be a preview screening of “Morocco From Above,” a film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, in collaboration with Michaël Pitiot, written and narrated by journalist Ali Baddou.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand will attend the screening.

“Morocco From Above” is a film that reveals the diversity of a colorful country, rich in flavors, where spirituality, traditions, and modernity blend into a unique voice.

From the snowy peaks of the High Atlas to the hustle and bustle of Casablanca or Marrakech, “Morocco From Above” is above all an invitation to travel. A journey filled with memories but also discoveries, a journey through time, history, and landscapes of a country we think we know but still surprises and challenges us. Emotion and wonder, seen from above, while allowing us to discover this astonishing country in a different way.

Ali Baddou, Franco-Moroccan, narrates his journey, continuously evoking his cultural heritage from the most brilliant civilizations that marked the cities of Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, while between Fez and Meknes, he recalls his childhood and the narrow streets of the medina where he grew up.

The aerial images by Yann Arthus-Bertrand glorify these thousand and one lives of Morocco where each region, each monument, each plain does not tell one story of Morocco, but stories of a country with a thousand facets. Those of the farmers, the sculptors who shape the country’s interior to nourish it.

Those of the blue walls of Chefchaouen and the orange sands of Merzouga. Those of a modern tale as well. From the ruins of Volubilis to the Noor solar power plant, Morocco takes a leap in time to tackle the challenge of energy transition and open up new economic perspectives.
