Winner of the 2002 Victoire de la Musique for the soundtrack of Amélie Poulain (sold over a million copies), Yann Tiersen, an internationally renowned artist, will indeed make a stop in Nice.
He invites us to impressive “Retrouvailles,” the title of his new album created with guests like Miossec, Dominique.A, and great pop voices like Liz Fraser and Stuart Staples for a tour between rock and dreamlike melodies with a strong emphasis on strings (violin, cellos…). A new way of working, more rock sounds, the Breton artist adds to accordion waltzes and captivating piano ballads with plenty of guitars, basses, and lots of energy.

David DELABROSSE as the opening act
David Delabrosse, singer, songwriter, and composer, began his career with the band Delabrosse in 1996. When he recorded his first 5-track album, Yann Tiersen was already among the guests. By 2000, he had surpassed the milestone of 300 concerts. In 2002, he performed the opening acts for Tiersen at Halles Tony Garnier in Lyon, Zénith de Caen, the Liberté in Rennes, and Penfeld in Brest. In 2004, he embarked on a series of concerts: Giverny Festival, Mythos Festival, opening for Françoise Breut at the Européen, Jeanne Cherhal (at the Volcan in Caen, Tours), and Yann Tiersen (at the Vauban in Brest, the Aéronef in Lille, the Cigale in Paris).
Alone on stage, he sings accompanied by a guitar, a sampler, and a Bontempi organ. Sometimes with a humorous vein or sometimes more acerbic when recounting the mishaps and states of mind of the everyman, these songs function as multiple mirrors of daily life.
