Yvon Grosso handed over the keys of UPE 06 to Philippe Renaudi, after serving two 3-year terms as president of UPE06, during an eventful evening that brought together nearly 500 business leaders at Acropolis.
Philippe Renaudi, a construction contractor from Cagnes-sur-Mer, will take the reins of UPE06 on July 1st, accompanied by a statutory office consisting of 8 members and an expanded office including six regional delegates and a special advisor.
The outgoing president managed the employers’ union from 2010 to 2016, during which many initiatives were launched. To remember, we recall the two sessions of Global Performance that helped 45 SMEs towards CSR, the creation of the entrepreneurial investment fund FCPR and the 6 editions of the BA 06 Event and the innovation market.
Not to mention, of course, the Entreprenariales, the flagship of the organization, which for 15 years has brought together local economic actors.
Yvon Grosso was also the president who celebrated the 40th anniversary of UPE 06, which brings together, in a single organization, the two components of employers’ associationism, Medef and CGPME, represented by the Vesubian Honorรฉ Ghetti.
The new President of UPE06 embraces the values of business, sport, and training. While he acknowledges that his predecessor “set the bar very high,” he intends to establish his style and set up his game plan… as a good tennis player would.
His program will develop around 5 main axes:
- Represent and defend the businesses of the territory
- Promote entrepreneurship and the spirit of the enterprise
- Ensure the representation of business leaders in decision-making bodies
- Act for the economic development of the Alpes-Maritimes
- Give the company a major role in training
