2011 Award Ceremony at the Academy of Nice

During an official ceremony, Rector Claire Lovisi presented the 2011 academic award to Miss Meriem Benhassine, a student in her first year of International Economics and Social Sciences at the International High School of Valbonne.

An excellent student, Meriem has maintained an overall average of 17/20 over two years and 18/20 in Physical Education over two years.

Serious, committed, and constantly progressing, she received commendations from her teachers each term.

Her intellectual qualities are enriched by her involvement and achievements in the sports field.

Her team spirit also extends to her class, where Meriem is highly appreciated for her camaraderie.
Passionate about humanistic disciplines, Meriem particularly excels in them.

Regional and local organizations have also awarded the following prizes, according to the same criteria required for the academic education award:

  • The Youth and Sports Award was presented by Martine Sanguinetti, representing the regional director of youth, sports, and social cohesion, to Kévin Farchetto, a first-year Science student at Pierre and Marie Curie High School in Menton, with a gift check of 300 euros for purchasing sports equipment.
  • The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Award was presented by Christine Mirauchaux, regional councilor, to Alexis Gangloff, a first-year Science student at Val d’Argens High School in Muy, with a check for 500 euros.

  • The Regional Olympic and Sports Committee Award was presented by Alain Koubi, president of the Côte d’Azur Olympic and Sports Committee, to Youssef Benzamia, a first-year Science student at Thierry Maulnier High School in Nice, with a check for 400 euros.

  • The medal of the city of Nice was presented by Lauriano Azinheirinha, deputy mayor of Nice, responsible for Education and Youth, to Youssef Benzamia, a first-year Science student at Thierry Maulnier High School in Nice, with a check for 300 euros.

  • The medal of the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee was presented by Alain Koubi to Margaux Farges, a first-year Science student at Val d’Argens High School in Muy.
