The audience for significant occasions (elected officials, associative and economic actors, and others of various and diverse titles) was present under the golden lights of the magnificent Honor Salon of the Prefectural Palace on the occasion of the 2018 New Year’s wishes from the State representative.
George-François Leclerc confirmed that he is a man of actions rather than proclamations.
In his brief speech, he reminded everyone that “the State is not an ‘other’ but indeed a fragment of national sovereignty.”
A “passing man” – as he likes to define the role of the Prefect himself – he reflected on the significant events of the past year, not forgetting to express an emotional thought for the tragedy of July 14, 2016, which remains vivid in everyone’s memory.
For 2018, he wishes that everyone dedicates energy for “France and its values.”
