Since Thursday, January 18, 2024, the 2024 census campaign in Nice has been launched.
The 2024 census campaign is taking place from January 18, 2024, to February 24, 2024. Starting from that date, 19,000 households will be surveyed in Nice in 2024. This represents 8% of the households in cities with more than 10,000 inhabitants that are surveyed every year. For this occasion, nearly 70 census agents are being recruited in Nice.
The census helps communities better meet the needs of the population: creating a daycare center, housing, setting up a business, need for a bus line… Participation in this census is mandatory as a civic duty.
Only 9% of the households in Nice are being surveyed this year. Census agents will deliver a housing form and forms corresponding to the number of individuals in the family. They will later come back to collect them from the respective households. This year, there’s a novelty: it is possible to respond online, available on the census website.
