On Saturday, September 14, in a friendly atmosphere, the Joyous Pétanque Players will host the traditional Grand Prix of the city of Nice.
The Deputy Mayor will make an appearance and will be welcomed by Francis Belmonte, President of the Joyous Pétanque Players since 1961.
The club, which has 105 members and 20 pétanque courts, celebrated its 60th anniversary last October.
The 52nd edition of the Grand Prix of the Joyous Pétanque Players’ field will see more than 220 participants competing, gathered in 110 teams (doubles).
Pétanque and the sport of boules have a home in Nice. The city has 72 boules fields, 76 associations, and more than 5,000 licensed players.
