65th anniversary of the Nice-Nuremberg twinning

An official delegation from the municipality of the City of Nuremberg will be received this afternoon at the City Hall by Christian Estrosi in the presence of elected officials and other dignitaries to celebrate this anniversary.

Signed in 1954, the Nice-Nuremberg twinning is one of the oldest Nice twinnings and one of the first Franco-German twinnings. Today, the two sister cities maintain bilateral relations in the fields of culture, education, youth, sports, health and medical research, economy, business and leisure tourism, sustainable development, and renewable energies.

With 509,975 inhabitants, Nuremberg is the second largest city in Bavaria after Munich. It is the economic center of the Middle Franconia district and one of the main industrial centers in southern Germany.
