On the occasion of the commemoration day of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Nice, the Communist Party celebrates the popular participation in this event.
The meeting is this evening at 6:30 PM at the Carrefour du 28 aoรปt (corner of bd Gambetta-bd Joseph Garnier) to pay tribute to the men and women who liberated Nice and our country,
Robert Injey, a leading figure of the Nice Communist Party, reminds us with words that call for reflection:
“On August 28, 1944, after four years of occupation, the Resistance liberated our city from the Nazi barbarity.
A liberation that opened the door, in our city and our country, to a tremendous period of reconstruction and progress for our people, reflecting the program of the National Council of the Resistance.
To not forget where ideologies that advocate exclusion and racism lead us, and to not lose sight of the fact that there is no human emancipation without justice and social progress.”
