Nice-Premiรจre: Hello, Pierre. As we’re at the start of the year, any wishes for 2008?
Pierre: I wish everyone lots of happiness and love but most importantly, good health, as that’s what’s most important!
N-P: Any personal wishes?
Pierre: To be happy throughout the entire year 2008.
N-P: And musically?
Pierre: That’s part of my happiness. I’d like to record my songs and perform a concert tour.
N-P: Any resolutions?
Pierre: I take my resolutions every day. Because when you say at the start of the year, for example, I’ll stop eating chocolate, it only lasts a few days, a month at most. Resolutions should be made daily.
N-P: Was Star Academy a positive experience?
Pierre: Very positive. I’ve learned a lot about myself. I take a lot of pleasure in it. I enjoy every moment. I am really lucky to be here. I’m making the most of the entire environment, the education, everything that’s offered to us. We are very well taken care of. Actually, it’s like a dream to be able to sing with all these artists. Every Friday is a challenge for me because itโs totally not my musical genre that I perform on the live show. I really enjoy every moment.
N-P: During these last live shows, the audience is discovering a different Pierre. A Pierre who protects the other academicians, a Pierre who encourages, a Pierre who is generous, a Pierre who is more comfortable on television sets. A Pierre who succeeds in his challenges, like your performance of “You raise me up” with Josh Groban.
Pierre: It took me a while to become like this at the chateau, maybe out of discretion. It’s my personality. I love taking care of people; it helps me to escape. At the same time, I am growing, I am nourishing myself. Itโs very enriching to invest myself with or for people instead of just thinking about myself.
Sometimes, itโs not easy for the song because I am offered things that are very different from what I am. It was very hard to adapt, but itโs a very good experience. Being on a television set is a real show! We work as a team, with sound, images, technology, the teachers.
I also have a little problem with my hearing but I think we’ve found the cause. There are frequencies that bother me when singing, it paralyzes me a bit. I hear something crackling and it’s annoying. But now, by making some adjustments (laughs) thanks to the teachers, I feel more comfortable, more confident. I feel better.
N-P: Alright, let’s finish with some BIG UP!
Pierre: HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!! I am very happy and proud to come from Ariane and to be doing Star Academy. I hope this will help speak positively about this area. Because in Ariane, there are good people. Often it is talked about as a troubled area, but in Ariane, there are also good deeds.
