Organized on the initiative of the Antibes Handi Méditerranée club, the APF (Association des Paralysés de France), and the Departmental Committee for Disability Sports, this day will be an opportunity for Handisport to show its support for Nice 2018 and to highlight its involvement in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Daniel Issautier, a paralympic handiski athlete who participated in the Paralympic Games in 1992, 1994, and 1998, will be the patron of this day, accompanied by Valérie Nicolas (world handball champion in 2003) and Jean-François Tordo (former captain of the French Rugby Team), who have opted to ski for the occasion.
Seven independent athletes currently participating in a camp at Auron with Antibes Handi Méditerranée will be joined by more severely disabled individuals thanks to the handiski program of the General Council: guided by instructors on tandems, they will be able to make several descents.
The program:
• Skiing from 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM on the slopes of Colombier and Ciavalet
• Autograph session with Daniel Issautier, Valérie Nicolas, and Jean-François Tordo.
