The project was initiated by Marielle Goitshel and Christian Estrosi, taking form along the Promenade des Anglais and the Baie des Anges, which could host the opening and closing ceremonies if the Azurian capital wins the Olympic bid. The chain will consist of men and women from Nice, clad in the colors of Nice 2018, holding hands as links in support of the Niรงois Olympic dream.
“Nice has all the qualities to host the Games. That’s why I am one of its most fervent supporters, and I hope that the entire population of Nice will come out to form this human chain to support this great adventure,” said the ski champion, who is as comfortable on snowy slopes as she is organizing events.
Thus, an appointment is set for the people of the Azure coast starting at 2 PM on the Promenade des Anglais, next Saturday, March 14th, from the Carras district to the port area via Magnan.
