It’s a brand-new site that the Italian Chamber of Commerce Nice, Sophia Antipolis, Côte d’Azur has just unveiled. Created by the Azur-based communication agency Komunicom, this bilingual institutional website is the latest generation aiming to be more informational and more user-friendly to facilitate commercial and cultural relations between Italy and the Côte d’Azur.

Laetitia Faure, Communication Manager of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, talks about the new site.

Nice Premium: Why did you have the idea, the need to create a new version of the CCI Nice website? Was the old site not up to par?

Laetitia Faure: The Italian Chamber of Commerce has a busy B2B and consumer schedule! We needed a site that is up to standard, informative and easy to access depending on the user’s profile. We had to enter a lot of data in order to provide optimal service to both entrepreneurs and individuals. It is done! Each department head at the Chamber can manage their own section and update it. Being a small structure, it was necessary for every person to be a real webmaster. This platform gives us the means to do so.

NP: What will this new site bring to the Chamber?

LF: Our primary mission is to develop economic and cultural relations between France and Italy. This site will help us spread information about our commitment, facilitate contacts among people wanting to grow at the cross-border level, and assist individuals who want to train in Italian or simply discover Italy.

NP: With this new site, will there be new services being developed for users?

LF: Many new practical sections have been designed: the agenda informs the public at a glance about our activities, the business opportunities section allows for very easy insertion of job offers and supplier requests with free access. The news section provides the latest updates from Italian and French newspapers in a flash, individuals will be informed about trips we organize, businesses about upcoming meetings of our Business Club. This site is a treasure trove of information for anyone wanting to find out about Franco-Italian news.

NP: And what do you think of the site yourself?

LF: I can’t be objective; I personally worked on it for 5 months with the entire Komunicom team! I hope people will find it functional, simple, and fresh, as intended.
