Inaugurated in 2000, the Festival of Nautism annually allows people throughout France to be introduced to all forms of nautical activities. Each year, several sites across the French territory transform this festival into a significant event.

For the occasion, numerous instructors join the event to share their passion during this day dedicated to sharing and solidarity.

This national event enables a broad audience to discover nautical activities in all their diversity: on the water, under the water, and in the water. Open to the public for free, “the Festival of Nautism” will offer various activities.

The program includes baptism events of baby skiing, water skiing, scuba diving, and Rando Kayak, allowing everyone, young and old, to explore the heritage of Antibes.

Furthermore, disabled individuals will also be able to participate in some of the activities offered on this Saturday, May 17, 2008. The provision of adapted equipment and qualified instructors will ensure everyone’s safety.

On land, the public can discover the city’s nautical clubs through stands and also watch trampoline demonstrations performed by high-level athletes from OAJLP Trampoline.

To conclude the day, a water skiing demonstration will be held around 5 PM. Throughout the day, lotteries will be held, and prizes will be awarded to the lucky participants. “The Festival of Nautism” remains an opportunity for everyone to discover the city of Antibes and the various maritime activities it offers each year.

This day is organized by the Sports Department of the city of Antibes, with the participation of the Health Promotion Department and the Communal Center for Social Action (CCAS).
