The entire team at Nice Première is getting ready for a well-deserved week of rest just a few days before the first anniversary of their local news web daily. After its virtual opening in September 2005, Nice Première has grown significantly and is now visited by nearly 3,000 unique visitors per day.
At the time of taking stock, even though the term suggests an end of a cycle, whereas Nice Première is at the dawn of a great adventure, no one could have imagined such a rise in prominence for this associative and participatory newspaper that today has nearly a dozen editors and writers. With over 390,000 visits since its inception, Nice Première is the only local daily news source for the city of Nice and its region with nearly 900,000 pages viewed over the last twelve months.
But Nice Première is also made by our readers who have posted nearly 8,000 reactions to our articles and who remain, on average, more than 6 minutes per connection, covering nearly 1,000 articles dealing with local life, politics, sports, art, and the community sector.
The upcoming week will surely be one for rest but also for reflection as we prepare new surprises for this second year that is quickly approaching. During this week, the Nice Première team will offer a Best Of compilation of the best articles of the year, those that generated the most reactions or simply those that have made the most impact.
As we approach this anniversary, I would like to thank and congratulate the entire Nice Première team composed of Christophe, Vincent, Céline, Audrey, Elise, Barbara, Kira, Youness, Jacqueline, Nicolas, Gaëlle, Sébastiens, Simon, Vivianne, and Mélody who have allowed you, and will continue to allow you, to stay updated with the news of your city of Nice and your region every day.
