The Bionazur Fair in Nice Opens Up to Sustainable Development

Because organic is not just about consuming products from organic farming, but is part of a lifestyle philosophy, the Bionazur fair opens its doors to sustainable development activists. “Eating well is a first step,” assures Paul Obadia, Managing Director of Nicexpo, the organizer of the event. “But respecting the Earth and its environment is a comprehensive approach.” This 10th edition will therefore welcome for the first time companies offering technical solutions that allow buildings to reduce their environmental impact while promoting energy savings. Heating and heat pumps, insulation, lighting, and renewable energies will be presented to the public, which, according to professional institutions, is highly demanding of such technologies.

Developments to come

For now, this area remains on the fringe of the historic fair, with 20% of the exhibitors, but the organizers’ intention is to encourage the presence of companies operating in the bio-climatic universe. Just as they already encourage the presence of actors in organic agriculture, provided they hold AB certification. The some 40,000 visitors expected over three days will be able to discover at the stands of the 120 exhibitors not only organic foods but also ranges of cosmetic and household products, with a focus on the multiple possible uses of a surprising plant: hemp.

Another novelty of this edition: the organic canteen, where visitors and exhibitors can enjoy the light and original cuisine of the chefs from the Hi-Hotel, the only organic hotel establishment on the Cรดte d’Azur, in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Keisuke Matsushima. A promising alliance…
