For its third edition, the Handivoile Tour 2008 indeed stopped in no fewer than 7 municipalities in the department and allowed 627 people to enjoy free sailing trips, while 97 people participated in kayaking over the course of 14 dedicated days. The tour thus totaled 724 outings at sea, which enabled 8 new specialized organizations to discover sailing and enroll in the permanent activity offered during the school year as part of the Handivoile program.
For its first edition, the Handivoile Tour welcomed 224 participants over 15 days, totaling 324 outings at sea in 5 municipalities of the department, with the collaboration of the Voile Azur Departmental Committee and 2 associations – Cannes Jeunesse and Aventure Pluriel.
In 2007, the Handivoile Tour confirmed its success over 12 days, hosting 294 participants for sailing and 103 participants for kayaking, totaling 528 outings at sea on the accessible beaches of 6 municipalities in the department, with the help of the Voile Azur Departmental Committee, the Departmental Kayak Committee, the associations Cannes Jeunesse, Aventure Pluriel, and the Villefranche Maritime Heritage Preservation Association.
In addition to the Voile Azur Departmental Committee, the Departmental Kayak Committee, the associations Cannes Jeunesse, Aventure Pluriel, all partners of the Handivoile Tour 2008, six clubs also contributed during a stage: the Cap d’Ail Nautical Circle, the Var Sea Club and A.G.A.S.C. of Saint-Laurent-du-Var, the Cagnes-sur-Mer Sailing School, the Antibes Yacht Club, and the Mandelieu Nautical Club.
