Former journalist for the illustrious “Gazzetta dello Sport” and former Director of “Il Giorno,” Pierluigi Fadda passed away this Tuesday morning at Saint Roch Hospital following an emergency hospitalization. A recent retiree on the French Riviera, Pierluigi had joined our group with a head full of ideas and a tenacious desire to be of service to a city he had adopted just as it had adopted him. At the core of the project to create the news agency, Agence Presse Riviera, of which he would have been the General Director, Pierluigi was one of the driving forces of this new adventure, and his absence leaves a significant void that will be very difficult to fill.
A rugby enthusiast, he was the originator of the creation of the Italian Zebras, equivalent to the Barbarians, and the author of numerous works on rugby, has thus departed, like an up-and-under, to skies from where, undoubtedly, he will continue to watch over us.
The team at Nice Premium and the Circolo Italiano wishes to pay homage to him and extends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
Ciao Pierluigi, your spirit will always remain with us.
