In these relatively gloomy times, even if the crisis is somewhat overused, Laetitia’s initiative started just a year ago with the backdrop of web social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, or Viadéo. The idea caught on, and the meeting became regular for these dozens of business leaders who, over breakfast, multiply encounters to build the famous network.
This also proves that virtual social networking is working better and better and is now perfectly integrated into the web landscape, as demonstrated by all the major news sites or even politicians who regularly, and sometimes even in real-time, relay their information on the web.
Nice Premium met with Laetitia, who explains the concept of these meetings, which Nice Premium will cover… and perhaps even more with maybe a live radio broadcast with local business leaders… (to follow).
Nice Premium: Laetitia, tell us about your “Business Breakfast” concept?
The concept was born from a simple observation… We all use social networks to expand our contact book, to meet other entrepreneurs: Viadéo, Facebook, Twitter.
And it works, we multiply contacts… but to work together, to recommend ourselves to our clients, or to create partnerships, it was necessary to move from virtual to real, to meet!
So I decided to organize a first meeting a year ago, to meet those of my contacts who also wanted it… Due to the success of this concept, we have been organizing meetings every eight weeks, and today, we have become the association of young entrepreneurs of 06 and PACA… The business dating meetings are open to everyone, regardless of the company’s field of activity.
They are free of access for association members, and for non-members, just fill out a registration form for the event (downloadable online).
What is the purpose of these meetings?
Above all, it’s about meeting people with the same entrepreneurial journey, in the greatest conviviality… Our meetings take the form of breakfasts or aperitif cocktails, and everyone exchanges freely with the other participants.
To facilitate contacts, each person receives the list of participants, indicating their activity, at least a week before the meeting.
A hostess is responsible for collecting contact documents from guests upon arrival (business cards, flyers, brochures…) and inserting them into folders.
Thus, there’s no “race for the business card” because everyone will receive the contacts of all the others when leaving!
It is also important that these meetings are not opportunities to “sell” our services to one another… The idea is to learn about others’ activities, to work together, in the form of partnerships or recommendations to clients and suppliers!

Is the web an extension of your concept?
Indeed, the Web allows us to stay in contact between business meetings, as well as to make our actions known and to meet new members.
The success of the meetings largely comes from the involvement of the participants, who share information with their contacts on Facebook, Viadéo… This is also what ensures that we have the pleasure of meeting new participants at each meeting!
Finally, do you have other entrepreneurial projects in your pipeline?
Regarding the young entrepreneurs’ association, several projects are underway, always to facilitate contact between entrepreneurs: a business dating gazette, thematic meetings, and encounters by sector of activity, for example.
