The 2010 Battle of Flowers goes around the world!

Latest News

They are about twenty florists working around the floats 72 hours before the start of each event. And once again, they did not disappoint us!
The articulated floats, visible from 360 degrees, are a real treat for the eyes. On the walkways, spectators came to admire the show but also to take home their famous mimosa bouquet! And it never fails. The models with wide smiles stationed on each float generously distribute the flowered stems.

This event is also a way to promote the floral quality of Nice. Indeed, 85% of the flowers used are produced locally. To share it with the population, the 20 starting floats gradually shed along their route to finally distribute more than 80,000 flowers to the public.

The originality of this year? A world tour in two hours. South America and its charming Brazilian dancers, Asia and its impressive elephant, no continent is forgotten.

For latecomers, there is still time to attend the last flower battle on Saturday. As for the carnival, it will end on Sunday at 8 pm with the incineration of the king.
