For the 10th consecutive year, “Mars aux Musรฉes” invites young people and students to discover the museums of Nice in a different way. One month before the launch of the anniversary edition, a conference will present the 2011 edition.
MaM: an original concept entirely free of charge
Although open to all, “Mars aux Musรฉes” is primarily an event organized by and for students, thanks to the support of the City of Nice. As every year, it is indeed the students of the Master’s 2 Program in Mediation and Cultural Engineering from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis who carry out the project, supported by the City of Nice and the University’s Directorate of Culture. All events offered within the framework of MaM are free!
MaM: quite a program! At the crossroads of the arts and with an approach aimed at engaging with so-called young audiences, “Mars aux Musรฉes” offers this year around twenty thematic evenings and afternoons that will blend music, theater, dance, or visual arts, among others. While the approach of “Mars aux Musรฉes” is festive, its ambition is also educational. Throughout the duration of the event, the museums are indeed open to teachers from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, who will be able to conduct their teachings there through a vast program of off-site courses.
