In partnership with the Rialto cinema, the Association for Democracy in Nice, (which aims to “promote and encourage communication and solidarity between people and organizations” in the region) is organizing a tribute to Italian cinema from June 9 to June 15.
You will discover a selection of films that have marked the history of Italian cinema or whose stories will teach you about certain aspects of Italian life. A bouquet of cinematic culture will be shared with a country not so far away. At the time of Nice’s attachment to France, the Rialto and ADN offer you a different kind of attachment.
ADN, which aims to fight against ideas spread by the extreme right and defends values of dignity, fraternity, solidarity, and citizenship, has engaged in several cinematic projects.
ADN brings people together and encourages debates. The latest were “Mammuth” by Gustave Kervern and Benoรฎt Delรฉpine (Groland) with Gรฉrard Depardieu and “Local Solutions for a Global Disorder” by Coline Serreau, which allowed film enthusiasts and amateurs to debate and exchange views.
