The beekeepers in Provence invite you to the grand Honey Festival on Sunday, April 24, in Mouans-Sartoux (06) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. 8,000 visitors are expected for this 17th edition!

Amidst numerous fun and friendly activities, the beekeepers will present the mysterious life of bees, the profession of beekeeping, and introduce the public to hive products, particularly Provençal honeys.

Here’s a glimpse of the activities offered:

• Introduction to tasting Provençal honeys, guided by a specialist,

• Discovery of royal jelly—the sacred food of bees,

• An emotional experience with the Apimobile—a rolling hive with transparent walls where a beekeeper, dressed in his suit, handles the hive, its frames, and the colony of bees residing within,

• Activities for children, including tastings, hive making, gingerbread crafting, and more,

• A stroll in the melliferous garden—set up in the park of the Château,

• A loyal attendee of the festival, the famous Provençal cuisine chef, Gui Gedda, offers a culinary journey centered around honey-infused dishes,

The day will be enlivened by the Regional Center for Circus Arts of the PACA region, Piste d’Azur, whose young artists will perform a show on the theme of bees.
