The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes at the heart of technological innovation in health: expanded and modernized material resources available to medical teams and researchers in the department.
On Thursday, November 4, 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Departmental Administrative Center, the presentation of the winners of the 4th Health Project Call “Support for Medical and Scientific Teams in the Department for Technical Innovations in the Health Sector” will take place.
€3 million dedicated to the 2010 Health Project Call
Considering the quality of the Health Project Calls conducted in 2006, 2007, and 2008, and above all, the interest they represent for patients who benefit from the latest technological innovations, the General Council decided to renew this initiative in 2010.
It should be noted that in total, over these three years, the mobilized funds amount to €15 million for 84 innovative projects selected, including the surgical Robot at the University Hospital Center of Nice (1st in Europe for this new generation), the Cyberknife at the Antoine Lacassagne Center (2nd device of its kind in Europe).
The Project Call launched in January 2010 will provide financial support to medical and scientific teams in Alpes-Maritimes, aiming for the acquisition of cutting-edge equipment to improve health, screening, prevention, and diagnosis in the health or medico-social fields, as well as the fight against cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.
