Friday, December 3, 2010, at 6 PM at the Garibaldi Associations Space
The kickoff of the Nice Telethon 2010 will be given from the Garibaldi Associations Space, in the presence of the 2010 edition sponsors and many volunteers who have been working behind the scenes for weeks to prepare the dozens of events that will animate two days of mobilization.
The city of Nice has been heavily involved alongside the associative network to make the Telethon a grand solidarity event, aimed at bringing all the people of Nice together around a common goal: to fight the inevitable and invent the medicine of tomorrow to heal the children.
We all have reason to believe! This is the driving force for the families of the French Association Against Myopathies (AFM) who started, more than 20 years ago, a battle against the disease.
Stronger against indifference, stronger to share, stronger to mobilize, stronger to heal: this is also the message that will be conveyed by the city of Nice, the four Nice sponsors of the Telethon 2010, Christophe Pinna (four-time World Karate Champion, all categories, sports coach), Sonia Fiuza (European Karate Champion in KATA and World Vice-Champion), Julien Arnold (former member of the French Modern Pentathlon Team and current coach of the French youth team), Valérie Nicolas (goalkeeper of the ASPTT Nice Handball, World Champion in 2003) and a large number of associations that have concocted a generous program for December 3 and 4.
This 24th Telethon will kick off with a concert by the Ségurane College choir and the children’s company of the show “The Show Kid” in the amphitheater of the associations space, followed by the arrival of the flame of hope on Garibaldi Square.
